I am a contemporary art historian based in Amsterdam, working as a freelance writer and occasionally as a speaker, curator, and tour guide.
Deeply passionate about the power of art, my work focuses on communicating the inventive thoughts and stories of artists through writing. This allows artists to concentrate on their creative process while I ensure their visions are conveyed to a broader audience.
A significant part of my writing revolves around the digital and crypto art world, an area I find fascinating due to the endless possibilities offered by web3. I view artists minting their work on the blockchain as pioneers at the forefront of contemporary art history, pushing beyond traditional boundaries.
Throughout my career, I’ve written for several cultural magazines in the Netherlands, including 3voor12 and the Groninger Museum. My specialisation in art and its history has led me to work at the Museum Voorlinden and — more recently and still ongoing — at the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, and Huis Marseille (museum for photography).
I write for cultural magazines, platforms, DAO’s and collectives — Culture3, Right Click Save, Nifty Gateway, PROOF.xyz, Transient Labs, Highlight, Art On Internet, Tableau, Foam, and individual artists & collectors alike.
Feel free to get in touch.
I’d love to connect and tell relevant stories to the world.
